200 Precourse 08: Management of Elbow Fractures and Ligament Injuries

Using an adult education format with open panel discussions and audience participation, this course will delve into the practical management of complex elbow injuries. Participants can learn from the agreement, disagreement, pearls, and pitfalls offered by an expert panel. Columnar fractures of the distal humerus, capitellum and trochlear fractures, posterolateral and posteromedial elbow instability will be addressed in detail.
Learning Objectives:
- Identify the common patterns of elbow injury
- Understand the most troublesome elbow injuries and how to identify them
- Identify the pitfalls in operative treatment for each injury
- Increase awareness of complications: how to limit them and how to treat them
